Why won’t signature validate when sent to another computer

When a document is signed, the signature render as valid on the signer machine, however, when sent to a recipient the signature validity appears as ‘Unknown’ or invalid.

Additional Information
To commit a digital signature, the signer is provided with a digital ID. The digital ID has to be trusted by the recipient to validate correctly on their machine.

One of the following three options are available:
  • Trusting the sender digital ID manually on the recipient machine.
  • Signing for the CoSign Nation service, contact support.arx@docusign.com for more information.
  • Purchasing a digital ID from a third party CA, which is already trusted across machines.
