Why did I get a blank signature on this document?
A blank signature can be caused by signer choosing to draw their signature. When drawing their signature, they click on the draw box and only choose one pixel. This can happen on a computer or a mobile device. You can see in this picture the pixel that the signer has adopted as their signature.
Account administrators can configure the following options in Signature Adoption Configuration that might prevent this issue moving forward.
- Set a Minimum number of pixels required to adopt a signature/initials to 120
- Check Disable draw signature.
The signature is still binding even though it appears empty. If you have a business requirement that the signature must be "visible" on the document, please contact your signer and ask them to adopt a new signature, using the steps below. You will need to clone and resend once the signer has adopted a new signature.
If you are a signer that has already adopted a "blank" signature, please read How do I change my signature or adopt a custom signature?
