Why am I still receiving delivery failure notifications after correcting a recipient’s e-mail address and even completing an envelope?
SMTP standards for email transmission advocate for a 5 day period over which email transmission is re-attempted. DocuSign's outbound notifications adhere to this standard. Even in cases where an email server does not exist at all and no response is received, a failure is registered. Attempting multiple times in alignment with this standard may result in receiving failure notifications after correction of the error and even overall completion of the envelope.
The automatic retry should end after 5 days.
