v6.0 Transaction Rooms Tasks terms: Broker Edition Only

Transaction Rooms Tasks terms: Broker Edition Only

The newest release from DocuSign Transaction Rooms has brought some new terms that you may not know. The following terms and definitions may help you better understand how tasks work:

Task: An activity that must be completed during the transaction. Tasks not only include the completion of required or optional documents, but also activities that don’t involve paperwork, such as adding photos to the MLS.

Task List: A set of tasks grouped together.

Task List Template: Created at the admin level, task list templates make it easy to pre-load common tasks and quickly apply to Transaction Rooms.

Completed: When a task that does not require a manager’s approval is completed by the Assignee, the Assignee can mark the task as complete. A green check mark labeled Complete will then appear next to the task.

Needs Review: When a task that requires a manager’s approval is completed by the Assignee, the task is then labeled Needs Review and a blue arrow appears next to it. The task remains labeled as Needs Review until a manager approves (or declines) the task.

Approved: When a task that requires a manager’s approval is completed by the Assignee and is then approved by the manager, the task is labeled Approved with a green check mark next to it.

Declined: When a task that requires a manager’s approval is completed by the Assignee and a manager does not approve it, the task is labeled Declined and a red X appears next to the task.
