DocuSign eSignature for Salesforce - Connect error The underlying connection was closed; An unexpected error occurred on a receive. 

Issue

DocuSign eSignature for Salesforce users are not getting Envelope status updates but have Connect “Login Configured” checked. 

Connect Error:  
SalesForceIntegration failed, Salesforce User: (system sender email address), dsfs__DocuSign_Status__c failed, message: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive. 
SalesForceIntegration failed, Salesforce User: (system sender email address), dsfs__DocuSign_Recipient_Status__c failed, message: The underlying connection was closed: An unexpected error occurred on a receive.
 

Solution

Update the trusted IP addresses in Salesforce: https://support.docusign.com/en/articles/DocuSign-for-Salesforce-Update-DocuSign-trusted-IP-address-ranges.
Confirm all current IP Addresses added: https://www.docusign.com/trust/security/esignature
In DocuSign Connect republish the failed envelopes. Preferences > Connect > Failures and republished those failures, the issue was resolved and additional tests successfully published to Salesforce.
