Welcome to the Community Kofi,
Please see my response above.
We do not support PDFs that are protected by a password to open, although we can process ones that require a password to edit.
You will need to save or print the pdf without a password before uploading into Docusign.
see my response in the post message when sending "envelope incomplete, error in applicationWe were able to load an edit protected pdf into an envelope, but could not send it due to the noted error. Are you 100% sure there are no issues at this time with edit-protected pdfs?We had placed tags on the edit-protected pdf so I suspect the system is smart enough to know it won't be able to edit and save the pdf to add the results of the tags.
Last time I checked we could process pdf's that required a password to edit. Let me double check that this is still the case.
In the meantime, if you cannot get an unencrypted document or the password from the document creator, you may have some luck with one of the 12 methods mentioned in the article How to Unlock a Secure PDF File
I'll update this thread with what I find out.

Is it possible to password protect a document with the docusign program?
I am hoping that feature will appear soon, but for now, the only way to do it is with a third party software like this maybe: http://www.winzip.com/win/en/features/data-protection.html
Let me know if it works, and guys update us if you add this feature!! :)
